Skin Deep

When John wakes up in a stranger’s home, he is greeted and nourished by a kind and caring woman named Jane. She has answers for everything but the pieces aren’t fitting. He can’t make contact with anyone else and the eeriness of being stranded puts him into fight or flight. Something isn’t right and John can feel his life is hanging by a thread.

A lonely sound engineer decides to finally contact his crush and reconnect with his sister by pretending to use them both as phone lifelines on a game show.

The catch is that each phone call, though taking place at different times in the same day, is intercut so that the audience sees them as simultaneous action.
